Hazardous Trees

Ordinance - Chapter 12.40

If a tree is hazardous and presents an immediate threat to the safety of life or property, the permit process shall be waived and a Permit Waiver will be issued by the City staff prior to the tree's removal. An inspector from the Tree Section will respond to your request for a hazardous tree inspection in twenty-four hours or less. There is no charge for this service. You must be the tree owner to request a permit waiver.

Please Note: You cannot ask for a permit waiver to remove your neighbor's tree. Only the owner of the tree may request a permit and/or permit waiver.
